This trip takes us to the mountains of the Pyrenees, an amazing place for all outdoor activities.  The focus will be on exploring some of the deep gorges and Canyons of the area.  We will take you through a range of increasingly demanding Canyons over the days out, these are on a whole other scale to what we have in the UK.  We will also offer Rock Climbing on one of the days as a day off from the water of the Canyons and to give you a taste of what else the area has to offer.

What is Canyoning?  We will travel through these often deep and inaccessible gorges exploring the isolated habitats within.  By using techniques such as abseiling, sliding, down climbing, and jumping, we can descend the gorge whilst having a lot of fun on the way!  Gorges we might visit have jumps and slides with names such as the ‘Surprise, the ‘Bonzai’ and the ‘Tube’.  It is action packed to say the least…

Who is this trip for?  No prior experience is required or technical knowledge, we will teach you as we go!

This trip is suitable for active families, groups of friends and people generally looking for an adventure.  There are different grades of Canyons on offer and the group can be split based on ability as the week progresses so anyone with a good base level of fitness could join us.

About the Pyrenees

The Pyrenees is the border mountain range that sits between Spain and France.  The French side on the East is mainly Granite and the Spanish side Limestone giving 2 highly contrasting areas and potential daily venues whilst on this trip.

The Pyrenees are known for Climbing, Canyoning, Mountain Biking, and generally for all outdoor activities.

As well as being known for activities, the area is also steeped in history and Catalan culture which we will soak up whilst on this brilliant trip.

Mark Rock Climbing Course

‘Having spend three days in the mountains with Paddy I’ve got to say he’s the best guide I’ve ever worked with. Everything was pitched perfectly for my individual level - the choice of climbs, the balance between learning and mileage on the crag, all suited my level of experience. In three days I went from never having climbed trad to leading VD, seconding HVS+ and ticking off a classic mountain route, all thanks to Paddy’s professionalism and enthusiasm. Can’t wait to get out there again!’
